
Zenebe Reta Roba
Mr. Zenebe Reta Roba is a senior lecturer, researcher, and college dean at Mattu University, Ethiopia, with a proven record of academic leadership and research excellence. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in General Forestry and his Master of Science degree in GIS and Remote Sensing. His research expertise spans General Forestry, GIS and Remote Sensing, Climate Science, Environmental Science, Biodiversity Conservation, Ecosystem Management, Natural Resource Management, and Forest Management and forest monitoring and assessment.
As a young scientist, he has developed strong research interests in environmental studies, land use and land cover change analysis, climate variability and change impacts, ecosystem service valuation, forest carbon dynamics, land capability assessment, watershed management, environmental monitoring and assessment, and the integration of geospatial technologies with field-based methods to support sustainable environmental planning. His work also explores the interactions between human activities, landscape changes, and climate systems, aiming to generate evidence-based solutions for sustainable development, conservation planning, and climate change adaptation strategies.
He has published extensively in reputable journals and serves as an academic editor and reviewer for international journals, contributing significantly to the global scientific community. He has actively participated in various national and international research projects, focusing on sustainable natural resource management, environmental studies, climate change adaptation and mitigation, and the application of geospatial technologies to address pressing environmental challenges in Ethiopia and beyond.
